Airbus Helicopters renews its trust in Sogeti France

Sogeti France wins a private cloud contract with Airbus Helicopters to optimise the management of its critical applications

Paris, 8 September 2015 - Airbus Helicopters has renewed its trust in Sogeti France, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Capgemini Group, by signing a new four-year contract. Its purpose is the deployment of new IT platforms to support transformation projects, notably for applications that link together its staff, clients and suppliers. Included among the critical applications are administrative management, CRM, sales, eBusiness, as well as collaborative working tools and computer-aided design (CAD).

Sogeti France is to provide assistance to the world's largest manufacturer of civilian helicopters and one of the leading manufacturers of military helicopters by implementing a private cloud solution based on a secure, agile and highavailability infrastructure. Building on their technological ecosystem, the teams at Sogeti France and Airbus Helicopters have been able to design and develop a private cloud infrastructure based on the flexible technologies of virtualisation and orchestration, allowing easy administration of the critical applications accessed by the company's internal and external users, all the while ensuring guaranteed service continuity.

This new project aims to make new support platforms available to the various business units within short timeframes and at significantly lower cost in order to keep pace with their new demands and new constraints.

Mr Jean-Christophe Varet, Head of IT Operations & Infrastructures with Airbus Helicopters commented: "We decided to renew our faith in Sogeti France, as they have proved themselves capable of delivering on their commitments and supporting us in our transformation strategy. Their technological and operational expertise within extremely demanding environments has allowed us to take advantage of the key benefits of cloud computing such as reducing the time to deploy new environments and cutting operational costs".

"We feel extremely proud that such a prestigious client as Airbus Helicopters - the global leader in its sector - has chosen to further invest in the partnership that it has built with Sogeti over these past five years. This new contract comes as a result of the relationship of trust that has developed between our teams, based on the quality of our operations, the fulfilment of our undertakings and the innovation behind this new private cloud platform, which is able to address the rapidly changing requirements of the various business units within Airbus Helicopters", explained Christophe Bonnard, CEO of Sogeti France.
