Tell us a little about your background:
If someone would have asked me 10 years ago what I would do today, I would have never said that I would work in IT. My first degree was in classical piano, and I wanted to be a musician at that time. When I did not get into a music science program, I decided to give priority to my University options randomly. As a result, I was accepted into a program in "business economics and foreign languages".

After my graduation, I worked in Athens for about 6 years, mostly in the financial industry. But my work experience also includes positions in HR and marketing. My last two years in Greece, I was a financial consultant and worked mostly with loans and investments. There I had the opportunity to support both individuals and businesses. When we moved to Sweden, I began a two-year master's program in Business Intelligence (BI) at the University of Dalarna, because I already lived here, but also because I found that the program was both exciting and challenging. In the following years, I decided to apply for the business administration program. Thus I got at the end, two master degrees.

My career at Sogeti:
My career at Sogeti began in mid-September 2016. I had just gotten my degree from the BI program. I already had an interview and received a phone call about an opportunity to get a mission at client SSAB. They agreed to hire me and since then I have been working as BI developer in their IT Department.

What are you passionate about most in your area of expertise?
The university offers general knowledge within the area, and during my studies, I've mostly focused on Analytics. My current assignment is mainly about integration and right now I'm trying to learn as much as possible in this area. SQL Server Integration Services provides a variety of opportunities and is my priority right now, but later Analysis and Reporting Services.

What does an ordinary workday look like?
A typical day begins with a large cup of coffee. I go through errands that should be done during the day. First of all, I check that all that was delivered the previous day was without failure. If everything seems fine, then I work mostly with development. Some cases take a few hours and others may take several days, since I have to make sure that everything works properly.

Why did you decide to start working at Sogeti?
My first visit to Sogeti was the end of my first year in Business Intelligence program. I was very impressed with the work environment and their way of working. Thus I decided to apply.
