Bakgrund:

IKEA needed to get a higher level automation in their Multi Chanel program. They were in the transition from the waterfall to Agile and wanted to have a measurement strategy for that transformation. The current automation strategy did not meet the desired value.

Lösning:

Rochus started as a Test Automation Architect and within a month Rochus also got a second role as a Product Owner End to end test automation. In that role, he created and implemented an agile automation strategy and changed the approach and setup for E2E test automation. For this, he used a “automate everything” approach to secure valued delivery. 

Resultat:

We are still in the process. Rochus has reduced the order creation and fulfillment process from 2 days prep/execution/completion to 5 min for the same. In addition, he has automated the test data request process through a slack bot, test data is now directly fetched from the system it self thus saving 4 weeks of waste in a 3 months test cycle.
